Show them the benefit

October 18th, 2010 / No Comments » / by admin

Your Tip of the Day involves writing for the reader:

Never make the error of assuming that someone reading your offer
will automatically connect the features of your product or your
service to the benefits.

They won’t, unless you dialog about it in such a way that will
help them see every benefit.

Content freshness

July 27th, 2010 / No Comments » / by admin

One of the most misunderstood points of Blogging is concerning your “content freshness” factors. Content freshness: Write lots of good interesting content and post to your Blog consistently. How often? The more often the better. Just remember that you are writing for your readers who are pinged when you post a new update. But you are also driving the search engine robots wild with a blog that seems to continually have new content on it. Posting shorter Blog entries on a regular “hourly” basis is even more effective than posting on a “weekly basis.” It’s not hard to do once you understand the importance of consistency.

Are you obsessed with some SEO tool set or software program?

Think about “software tools” more as having a very specific purpose (and there are some excellent tools to know about for sure.)

But also realize, that the single most important key to understanding SEO in ways that will quickly profit your business, is to focus on skill-building by reason of  practice. It’s important to gain and possess your SEO skills first, before  fiddling with tools.

Tools are nice, but there is no tool that can match the human brain for creating
and implementing a brilliant and profitable high traffic, high conversion strategy.

Everyone tends to love cool tools, but I encourage you to build your SEO comfort level manually and you will gain the comfort level much faster along with a sense of understanding exactly how to optimize, without always being prompted by a tool.

Word tracking

How well do you hear what your customers are saying to you when you dialogue with them?

Consider using http://www.Wordtracker.com/moreinfo.html for researching “dialogue patterns.” Did you know that we often communicate differently  when we speak to each other, than when we are writing an article or
creating content.

Some of the simplest, ordinary, every day (even boring little words) we use when we dialogue with each other, can open up amazing new possibilities for  traffic.

Pay attention when your customers are talking to you and consider exactly, the words they use to speak to you. Try using some of those words as single
“root” words to explore search behavior.

Your next SEO Tip will be sent to you tomorrow.

Call to action

April 14th, 2010 / No Comments » / by admin

When creating new content, you probably have a clear objective for your Web page. What action do you want your visitor to take after  they read your content?

When researching your customer search trends, try and identify their interests and needs FIRST, instead of being always focused  on your objectives. Every Web page should have an objective to be  fulfilled but sometimes you can get tremendous conversion  improvement if you put “your objective” to the back. It does not
have to come first.

Stop and go back and consider meeting the visitor’s needs FIRST then offer them something that compliments their circumstance or  provides a solution to their circumstance.

Conersion rate

What is the next most important aspect to obtaining top visibility for a page?
If you guessed “conversion” you are right.

How are your high performance pages converting for you.
Are there things you could do to help you convert more of your traffic into sales?

You bet there are. Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing a few quick and easy
tips that you can consider on your busy pages that are ranking well, but may not
be converting to well.

Here is today’s tip:

Did you know that the right kind of graphic on your page can help you fulfill your
page’s objective? If using an image of a person’s face, try to find one that is
looking into the eyes of your visitor with a happy expression. People relate to
the human face (particularly around the eys.) Try not to have your image glancing
downward (which can signify someone feeling depressed.) Smiling happy people are
who your audience will relate too and you might be surprised how effective the
right image can contribute to your sales, if you put it on a page that has the
traffic already coming in to it.

The most profitable Web site are those that are:
1. Easily found and
2. Able to compel the visitor to take action right now.

Strive to prepare better content for your visitors and it will work for you not against you.
